tattooproofDerinda Patton of Amazingly Fun Farm in Amarillo, Texas, called to ask for her logo in a format so it could be made into a tattoo.

Now, how much fun is that?

Kids just love face painting or tattoos — and this is a great idea for sending forth little walking advertisements of your farm into the world!

I Google-ed “printed tattoos” and even found a source for getting them right down the road from me.

OK.
So the photo here is just “conceptual”.
But he is kinda eye-catching.

persimmonsWell, ok — perhaps persimmons are not the best example for this website tip, given that they are somewhat “puckering”!

If your farm grows strawberries, add interest and searchability to the site by including strawberry recipes.  Or pumpkin recipes (and carving tips) for pumpkin farms.

Think of having recipes posted in PDF format on cards with your farm’s logo and website on them.   They can be downloaded, printed and tucked into the viewer’s collection — with a memory of their trip to the farm.

A FoxNews Photo Fox News has the most clever invitation out there this summer!  This photo is from their website.

“Send us your favorite ice cream pics!”, it cheerfully says.  And there’s a series of adorable ones being submitted.  So, I will keep coming back to FoxNews for the next few days to see more of the photos that made me smile today.

Why not ask your site visitors to send you their favorite pumpkin patch photos?!  Or their favorite Halloween in the MAiZE pictures.  Or their favorite family videos from a recent farm visit.

Post the photos in your blog, one picture to a page with a catchy caption.  See Orr Family Farm’s website for a good example — an aging grandmother having fun on the pedal cars!

You can offer to give coupons or season passes for photos or videos posted.  And you’ll be sure to draw lots of folks to your site to see the pictures of friends or neighbors or grandchildren, etc.
